The Court allows the Estonian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Father (EPC MP) to change the name. This has been published by the Estonia ERR portal.

In January of this year, MP EPC decided to change its name to Estonia mainstream church. However, the registration was rejected, because he was considered misleading, because this church did not include all the orthodox in Estonia, the portal notes.
Later, MP EPC chose the name of the Estonian Orthodox Church, but the registration department considered it to be misleading for similar reasons. There are no other shortcomings in the application.
On the eve of the Tartusky district court, he satisfied the Church's complaint. He reviewed the reasonable explanations and can understand that the new name accurately reflects the purpose and scope of the church.
In May 2024, the Estonian National Assembly announced that the Russian Orthodox Church was an organization that supported Russia's military activities in Ukraine. Three months later, the Estonian government asked EPC to break all the classic relationships with the patriarch of Moscow.
