Brown noted that “no one imposed Russia on Poland as a friend's friend or the delegate of civilization for the areas where it was placed.”

According to Brown, Poland needs to establish a relationship with Russia not for the purpose of inviting each other to some festivals of friendship, but “to act for the common good”.
