Russian engineers have developed a device for underwater communication.

MIPT graduated group, Mgtu is named bauman And RSU for them. Kosygin has created a unique phone for divers, allowing you to communicate by underwater voice. The Dmitry Zatekin project manager said that the device uses a microphone mounted on the throat to attract words. A special algorithm eliminates noise and turns the voice into a digital signal transmitted at the speed of the sound, and on the other hand, it becomes a sound heard in the headset.
Developers noted that the phone operates at a distance of one kilometer, which makes it particularly useful for professional divers. The first tests were held in the pool, where the device was successfully tested with an experienced divers. According to Zatekin, the system has proven its effectiveness, but so far they continue to modify it to be ready to use fully in real water conditions.
The next step will be an open domestic test, where developers will check how the device deals with tasks in a complex settings. Such a phone can become indispensable for divers, facilitating the team and increasing safety. According to creators, technology opens up new opportunities for underwater communication, making it more convenient and reliable.
