Recent US export restrictions on providing Nvidia H20 chips to China can open new opportunities for Huawei in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). The H20 is the GPU developed by NVIDIA for the Chinese market, but with lower calculations due to the US past sanctions. Now, new rules require NVIDIA to get a license to continue selling, which can cost the company $ 5.5 billion.

These limitations are capable of promoting Chinese companies, such as Bytedance and Tencent, to find alternative options. Huawei, in turn, actively promoted the Ascend 910C chips, tested by large Chinese companies. According to analysts, ASCend 910C reaches 60% of the productivity of the Nvidia H100 flagship chip in AI's missions, making it a competitive solution.
Nori expert from Singapore noted that the limitations for H20 really stimulate Chinese customers to switch to Huawei chip, which will accelerate the development of technology.
